"The country's heaviest baby" born in Iran: Exactly 7 kilograms
It has been reported that a baby weighing 7 kilograms was born in the city of Mashhad, Iran.
Speaking to Iranian state television, Dr. Nigar Ramazanpur, an Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Mashhad Razavi Hospital, provided information on the matter.
Ramazanpur stated that the baby, who was born 4 days ago, weighed 7 kilograms at birth.
Noting that Iran's "heaviest" baby was delivered via cesarean section, Dr. Ramazanpur explained that the baby's birth weight being above normal was due to the mother having diabetes.
The Iranian doctor, who stated that the baby is the family's 5th child, did not provide information regarding the baby's gender or name.
