In an incident that occurred on Bağdat Avenue yesterday evening, a motorcycle collided with a car, causing the motorcycle to spin out of control and strike actress İrem Helvacıoğlu and her family as they were walking on the sidewalk. The famous actress shared the terrifying moments she experienced on her social media account.

Helvacıoğlu, who was taken to the hospital following the accident, stated in her explanation that she received 12 stitches due to a blow to her head and that nerve damage in her hand, which had occurred due to a previous accident, has resurfaced. Helvacıoğlu, who said that their baby daughter Sora was in her arms during the accident, expressed great gratitude that they managed to protect their baby.

It was noted that her husband, Ural Kaspar, also survived the accident with injuries, and it was reported that the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident.

Helvacıoğlu made the following statements regarding the accident:

“First of all, we would like to thank everyone who was concerned and called. Unfortunately, we were subjected to an accident caused by a violation of traffic rules while we were walking home on the sidewalk. A motorcycle, which spun out of control after colliding with a vehicle traveling behind us, hit us as if it were mowing us down while we were walking on the sidewalk. Sora was in my arms at that moment; because I gripped her tightly, I fell onto my head during the impact. 12 stitches were placed in the wound opened by the blow to my head. The nerve damage in my hand from a past accident has recurred. My husband Ural suffered an injury as a result of the fall.”

Expressing that their daughter's good health is their greatest consolation, Helvacıoğlu stated, “Our greatest reason for gratitude is that we were able to protect our daughter and that she is in good health. However, this incident has once again shown how severe the consequences of not following traffic rules can be. For this reason, we will resolutely follow the legal process so that what happened does not go unpunished and similar incidents do not recur.”

Following the accident, it was noted that the judicial process regarding those involved is ongoing, while attention was once again drawn to the fact that rule violations can have serious consequences.
