UNICEF spokesperson James Elder: 'A record number of children in Gaza need medical care'

UNICEF spokesperson James Elder shared a post on the social media platform X regarding his visit to the Nasser Hospital, the largest health complex in Gaza, which is under intense Israeli attacks and blockade.

Stating that only 12 of the 36 hospitals in Gaza are partially operational, Elder said, "Nasser Hospital is not one of them. A record number of children in Gaza need medical care."

Recalling that during his previous visit, Nasser Hospital was a place where thousands of people had taken shelter, Elder noted that a deathly silence now prevails in the corridors of the hospital, a large part of which was destroyed by bombardment.
