Singer Şimal was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021 and began her treatment process, later announcing that she had overcome the disease after a long struggle.

WHO IS ŞİMAL?
Born on April 25, 1986, in Istanbul, Şimal began her musical journey in 2012. Drawing attention in a short time, the artist composed approximately 400 songs to date. While Özken Ulusoy sat in the producer's chair for her first album, Başlangıç, Taşkın Sabah and Erdem Kınay undertook the roles of arrangers.
The lyrics for the track "Şimal Yıldızı" on the album belong to the artist herself, Şimal Gülen. The music video for the song was directed by Enmir Khalilzadeh.
