Another earthquake occurs in Sındırgı, Balıkesir
The Sındırgı district of Balıkesir has been shaken by a new earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2. This tremor follows the 6.1 magnitude earthquake that occurred in recent days.
According to the statement made by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a 4.2 magnitude earthquake with its epicenter in Sındırgı was recorded at 07:18. It was stated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 12.9 kilometers. This tremor was also felt in surrounding districts.
In recent days, on Monday, October 27, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake had occurred in Sındırgı. This major earthquake was felt in many surrounding provinces and districts, including Istanbul. Aftershocks have been continuing in the region following the event.
