Armed clash between two groups in Marmaris
Three people have been detained following an armed clash between two feuding groups in the Marmaris district of Muğla. While there were no injuries, three vehicles sustained material damage.
Two groups with a prior dispute in Marmaris encountered each other on the street and began to argue. When the argument quickly escalated into an armed clash, local citizens reported the situation to the police. Numerous police teams were dispatched to the scene.
The Marmaris District Police Department's Public Security Bureau teams took action to apprehend the perpetrators of the incident. As a result of the investigation, the suspects were identified as H.H.Ç. and brothers T.B. and T.B.
In an operation conducted by police teams, the 3 suspects were taken into custody. In his statement to the police, T.B. claimed that there was a prior feud between them and H.H.Ç., and that H.H.Ç. had threatened him on the day of the incident. He alleged that for this reason, he and his brother T.B. went to the scene on a motorcycle, and that his brother returned fire after H.H.Ç. drew his weapon and opened fire.
Crime scene investigation teams found 8 spent shell casings in the area of the clash and identified damage to three vehicles struck by bullets. The weapons used in the clash were also seized. The investigation into the incident, in which no one was injured, is ongoing.
