Bomb scare in Maltepe
Police teams were dispatched to the scene in Maltepe following a bomb report.
The incident occurred around 22:00 at a building located on Gazi Mustafa Kemal Street in the Fındıklı neighborhood.
According to allegations, citizens notified the police after discovering an object in the basement of the building that was suspected to be an unexploded bomb.
Upon receiving the report, police teams arrived at the scene and took precautions by setting up a security cordon.
Crime scene investigation teams took the object away for examination. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Speaking about the incident, Sefa Yılmaz said, "I was walking down the street and saw the police teams. I approached and asked, and they told me there was a bomb.
A statement was made later, I am saying this as hearsay. They identified one unexploded bomb. The crime scene investigation teams took it away," he said.
