Came to Cappadocia for her honeymoon, got stranded at Ortahisar Castle
A young woman who came to Nevşehir from Ankara for her honeymoon broke her leg after falling while visiting Ortahisar Castle. Stranded at the summit, the woman was rescued by teams and taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to the information obtained, Hatice A., who was visiting Ortahisar Castle—one of the important tourism destinations in the Cappadocia region located in the town of Ortahisar in the Ürgüp district—lost her balance and fell.
Hatice A., who broke her leg and remained stranded at the summit, had gendarmerie, AFAD, UMKE, and Ortahisar Municipality fire department teams dispatched to the scene following reports from citizens.

The teams, who initiated a rescue operation, managed to extract the injured Hatice A. from where she was located by throwing a rope approximately 30 meters down from the summit.
Hatice A., who received initial intervention at the scene, was later taken to the hospital by ambulance and placed under treatment.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
