CHP mayoral candidate found dead in his home with a gunshot wound to the head
Abdülkadir Bedir, who was the Republican People's Party (CHP) candidate for Mayor of Sur in the local elections in Diyarbakır, has been found dead in his home.
According to the information obtained, relatives of Abdülkadir Bedir, who was the CHP's candidate for Mayor of Sur in the March 31 Local Administration Elections and lived alone in a residential complex in the Mezopotamya neighborhood of the central Kayapınar district, went to his home after they were unable to reach him.

Bedir was found dead by his relatives in the house with a gunshot wound to the head. Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Following checks by the medical teams, Bedir's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
