Collapse at Oltu stone quarry in Erzurum: 3 workers lost their lives
Three workers lost their lives in a collapse that occurred at an Oltu stone quarry in Erzurum. While one worker died at the scene during the collapse, two others who were rushed to the hospital in critical condition could not be saved despite all interventions.

Three workers lost their lives in a collapse that occurred at a stone quarry in the Oltu district of Erzurum.
Following reports of a collapse at the Oltu stone mine in the Dutlu neighborhood, health teams, as well as fire, AFAD, and gendarmerie teams, were dispatched to the region.
Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi also went to the scene to conduct inspections. Governor Çiftçi announced that, according to initial findings, one worker had lost their life, while two workers had been taken to the hospital with serious injuries and remained in critical condition.
However, the two workers taken to the hospital could not be saved despite all interventions. It was learned that the names of the workers who lost their lives were Tayfun Narşap, Ömer Narşap, and Temel Korkmaz.
