Death toll rises to 4 in 'patpat' accident
In the Ünye district of Ordu, 4 members of the same family lost their lives and 3 others were seriously injured after an agricultural vehicle known as a "patpat" plunged into a ravine.
The accident occurred on Aşağı Street in the Güzelkale neighborhood. According to the information obtained, the agricultural vehicle driven by Yusuf Tunçel (49) plunged into a ravine approximately 15 meters deep after the driver lost control of the steering.
Upon notification by those who witnessed the accident, health and fire department teams were dispatched to the region. In the initial examination conducted by the teams, it was determined that the patpat driver Yusuf Tunçel (49), his older sister Ayşe Tunçel (63), and his sister-in-law Güler Tunçel (55) had lost their lives at the scene.

The driver's wife Nurten Tunçel (52), his son Onur Tunçel (24), and his daughter's children Burak Asaf Ç. (8) and his brother Uhud Ali Ç. (6), who were seriously injured, were taken to Ünye State Hospital and a private hospital in the district by ambulances. Burak Asaf Ç., who was taken to the hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
