Domestic violence on the rise: Man stabs mother and brother
In Malatya, a young man suffering from a mental breakdown stabbed his mother and brother following an argument.
The incident occurred around 19:30 in the Hatunsuyu neighborhood of the Battalgazi district.
According to allegations, a young man, whose name has not yet been learned, entered a state of distress and argued with his mother, Hatice A., and his brother, Hasan A., in front of their residence.
In the incident, which escalated from an argument into a fight, the mother and son were injured by knife wounds, and gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification.
The suspect was taken into custody along with the weapon used in the crime, while the injured were transported to Malatya Training and Research Hospital.
It was learned that the condition of the ambulance driver, Hasan A., who is continuing to receive treatment at the hospital, remains critical.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
