In the Mut district of Mersin, a 19-year-old who had just been released from prison stabbed his grandfather, who shared his name, and his grandmother to death. The suspect grandson was apprehended and taken into custody by police teams.
ENRAGED GRANDSON CAUSES TERROR
The incident occurred at a house on Yokuşlu Street in the Kültür neighborhood of the district.

According to the information obtained, their grandson Hüseyin A. (19), who was staying at the house where his grandfather Hüseyin (74) and grandmother Gülüzar A. (67) lived, started an argument for a reason yet to be determined. During the argument, Hüseyin A. took a knife and slit the throats of both his grandmother and his grandfather.
ELDERLY COUPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
Upon neighbors hearing the noise and notifying authorities, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Meanwhile, the suspect fled the scene but was caught and taken into custody by the police in a short time.

Checks performed by medical teams determined that the elderly couple had lost their lives. Following the investigation at the scene and by the prosecutor, the bodies were taken to the morgue for autopsy.
RELEASED FROM PRISON 3 DAYS AGO
While the investigation into the incident continues, it was alleged that the suspect Hüseyin A. was a drug addict and had been released from prison 3 days ago.
