Drugs found in passenger's stomach
At Çardak Airport in Denizli, drug capsules were detected in the stomach of a passenger arriving from Iran. The suspect was apprehended by police and arrested.
Teams from the Denizli Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch took action following intelligence regarding drug trafficking.
During a search of the luggage of the Iranian suspect detained at Çardak Airport, 1 kilogram 257 grams of synthetic drugs soaked into their belongings were found.
During questioning, the suspect confessed to swallowing drug pills. As a result of an X-ray examination, it was determined that there were drug pills in capsule form in the suspect's stomach. A total of 15 drug pills in 3 capsules were removed from the stomach of the suspect, who was kept under observation at Denizli State Hospital.
The suspect, who was referred to the courthouse after processing at the police station, was arrested by the court.
