Emotional post from CHP Chairman Özel: Ferdi Zeyrek laid to rest

At the funeral ceremony held in Manisa, prayers were said for Ferdi Zeyrek and carnations were laid. Among those attending the ceremony was CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

In a post on his social media account, Özgür Özel thanked everyone who shared the pain and offered support following Zeyrek's passing.

Özel stated, "I offer my endless thanks to everyone who did not leave our dear Ferdi alone on his final journey, who shared our pain, and who were with us in their prayers even if they could not attend. Rest in peace, my brother."

As citizens from all across Turkey and the people of Manisa bid farewell to their beloved mayor, it was once again evident that Zeyrek had won everyone's affection with his diligence and stance.

Özgür Özel expressed his gratitude to those who attended the funeral, stating that they would keep Zeyrek's memory alive.
