A fire that broke out at a metal plating and plastic factory in the Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone in İzmir's Çiğli district has been brought under control.
According to the information received, a fire broke out for an unknown reason at a rubber factory in the Çiğli Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone, located on Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Boulevard in İzmir's Çiğli district.
The growing fire later spread to a plastic factory.
Employees reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Upon the notification, health, police, and numerous fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area.
The fire was brought under control after approximately 3 hours of work by the fire brigade teams.
Cooling efforts by the teams at the factories are ongoing.
