Fire at wood and furniture manufacturing factory

Mayor Görgel, who inspected the area at the factory operating in wood and furniture manufacturing in Kahramanmaraş, received information from officials and conveyed his best wishes to the factory owners and their relatives.

Stating that a large part of the fire has been brought under control, Mayor Görgel said, "This is a large furniture factory; we arrived shortly after the report reached us and are working to extinguish the fire. The majority of the fire is under control. It is not easy to extinguish the fire because there are also chemical substances present. 

Our friends are truly working with great dedication. A little while ago, an accident occurred at our sand quarry workshop, and one of our brothers, one of our own, passed away. Unfortunately, we are having a difficult night. Thank God the fire did not cause any loss of life; we will extinguish the fire without causing any accidents or further trouble," he said.

Mayor Görgel stated that in addition to the fire department teams, the regional forestry directorate and the police department are also supporting the firefighting efforts.
