Fire in Başakşehir: 6 businesses and 2 vehicles rendered unusable!

A fire broke out around 4:00 AM in a four-story business center located in the Güvercintepe neighborhood of Başakşehir. The fire, which started on the ground floor of the building on Ahmet Yesevi Street, grew rapidly and spread to nearby apartment buildings and vehicles.

Upon notification of the fire, fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Due to the impact of the fire, residents living in the adjacent apartment building evacuated on their own due to heavy smoke. With the support of fire crews from surrounding districts, the fire was extinguished after approximately one hour of intervention.

As a result of the fire, six businesses in the business center were rendered unusable, while a pickup truck and a minibus parked in front of the building were completely destroyed. Additionally, two cars were damaged by debris falling from the building. Fortunately, there were no deaths or injuries in the incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

TERRIFYING MOMENTS FOR NEIGHBORHOOD RESIDENTS

Onur Demir, a neighborhood resident who noticed the fire, said, 'The fire happened in the early hours of the morning. We woke up to the shouting of our neighbors. The fire crews arrived 20 minutes later. The fire completely engulfed the exterior of the building, and the pharmacy and shopping center inside were also damaged.' Demir stated that the fire spread rapidly and that two vehicles were also burned.
