Fire in the capital captured from the air in its 10th hour
Extinguishing efforts continue in their 10th hour following a fire that broke out in an industrial zone in Ankara's Yenimahalle district.
A fire broke out around 15:00 at the Scrapyard Site in Ankara's Yenimahalle district. The fire, fueled by the wind, grew rapidly and spread to surrounding businesses.
At the end of 10 hours since the fire began, firefighting teams are still continuing their work in the area.

In addition to firefighting teams, heavy machinery is also being used to intervene in the fire, which has been ongoing for 10 hours. Ambulance teams are being kept on standby in the area as a precautionary measure.

While efforts by the teams to bring the fire under control and extinguish it continue, citizens in the vicinity are also being warned against the risk of fire and informed about taking safety precautions.
FIRE BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL
The fire that broke out in an area containing vehicle tires and waste at the Scrapyard Industrial Site in Ankara's Yenimahalle district has been brought under control.
The fire, which started for reasons yet to be determined yesterday afternoon in the scrapyard area in İvedikköy Neighborhood, was met with an intensive response from Ankara, Etimesgut, and Sincan fire departments, as well as AFAD, OGM, THK, DHİM, EGM, and gendarmerie teams.
The fire was brought under control around 03:00 in the morning as a result of the teams' intervention.
Cooling efforts are ongoing.
