Flames spread in forest fire in Karabük
Flames are spreading in a forest fire that has been ongoing for approximately 2.5 hours in the forested area of Kale village in Karabük. Numerous teams dispatched to the region are working intensely to bring the fire under control.
The forest fire, which broke out around 15:15 in Kale village, spread and grew due to the effect of the wind. In the first stage, 8 fire trucks, 4 water tankers, 60 personnel, and a large number of soldiers were dispatched to the region for firefighting and containment efforts.
Teams intervening in the flames, which are spreading rapidly due to the hot weather and wind, have been working intensely for approximately 2.5 hours to bring the fire under control. A total of 3 helicopters, 2 of which belong to the Gendarmerie General Command, are also providing aerial support to the firefighting efforts.

In a statement regarding the fire, the Karabük Governorship said, "The forest fire that occurred in the forested area above the central Zobran village on July 22, 2024, at approximately 15:15, is being intervened with a total of 8 fire trucks, 4 water tankers, and 60 personnel, including 3 fire trucks and 1 water tanker from the Karabük Forest Management Directorate, 4 fire trucks and 1 water tanker from the Safranbolu Forest Management Directorate, 1 fire truck from the Karabük Municipality Fire Department, and 2 water tankers from the Provincial Special Administration."
