Foreign national woman arrested for human trafficking
In an operation conducted by police teams in Samsun against those who forced foreign national women to work and pushed them into prostitution, a Kyrgyz national woman and 2 other individuals were apprehended. The foreign national woman was arrested after being referred to the courthouse, while the 2 other individuals were released.
According to the information obtained, teams from the Samsun Police Department's Anti-Migrant Smuggling and Border Gates Branch, acting on intelligence, determined that a Kyrgyz national woman identified as M.A. brought women from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, employed women whose legal stay in Turkey had expired as caregivers, collected money from these women under the guise of commissions, and also forced the women in question into prostitution.
The migrant police revealed that an individual named H.G. forced the women brought by M.A. into prostitution, and that an individual named E.Y. forced the women to work alongside M.A.
6 WOMEN RESCUED IN POLICE OPERATION
As a result of the operation, the police apprehended and detained the Kyrgyz national M.A. along with Turkish citizens E.Y. and H.G.
6 women were rescued in the police operation. Efforts have been initiated to deport the 6 rescued victimized women.
Following the completion of their interrogations at the Samsun Police Department's Anti-Migrant Smuggling and Border Gates Branch, M.A., E.Y., and H.G. were referred to the Samsun Courthouse today.
While E.Y. and H.G. were released after giving their statements to the prosecutor, the woman named M.A., who gave her statement to the duty magistrate, was arrested by the court on charges of "human trafficking" and sent to the Samsun T-Type Closed Prison.
