Forest fire continues to make its impact felt in the darkness of night
The forest fire that broke out in the Arsuz district of Hatay continues to make its impact felt in the darkness of night, now in its 8th hour.
The fire broke out in a forested area in the Kozaklı neighborhood of Arsuz district at around 11:40 AM. Upon notification of the fire, fire department and regional forestry directorate teams were dispatched to the region.
Teams began responding to the fire from the air and on the ground in a short time.
Against the possibility of the fire spreading to residential areas, AFAD teams had directed 7 shuttle vehicles to the region for the evacuation of citizens who could be affected by the fire, and the citizens were evacuated.
Vehicle and personnel support for the response arrived from Adana, Osmaniye, Kilis, and Gaziantep. As the 8th hour passes, the teams' efforts to combat the fire continue in the darkness of night.
