Forest fire in Balıkesir brought under control
A forest fire that broke out in the Burhaniye district of Balıkesir has been brought under control following aerial and ground intervention.
A forest fire broke out for unknown reasons at two separate points near the rural Avunduk neighborhood.
Upon seeing smoke rising from the wooded area, numerous teams were dispatched to the region.
The flames were intervened in a short time by 2 aircraft, 1 helicopter, 4 fire trucks, 3 water supply vehicles, 2 service vehicles, and 50 ground personnel.

The fire, which started at 2 points, was brought under control after 2 hours of effort as a result of the intensive work of the teams.
Cooling efforts by the teams are continuing in the region.
