In the statement made by the Governor's Office, it was noted that as a result of the assessment regarding the rally intended to be held at İstasyon Square in the Yenişehir district on Sunday, October 13, 2024, between 13:00 and 18:00, it was evaluated that, using October 9 as a pretext in line with the calls of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization, structures sympathetic to terrorism in our province could engage in widespread illegal actions from this date onwards, provocative actions damaging our national unity and solidarity could be carried out, regrettable incidents targeting the fundamental characteristics of the republic and the indivisible integrity of the state with its country and nation could intensify, and public order and security could be seriously disrupted during the rally.

The statement said, "In order to ensure the peace of our people and to eliminate the threats and risks mentioned above, it has been deemed appropriate by our Governor's Office to take the following measures within the administrative borders of Diyarbakır Province, in accordance with Articles 17 and 19 of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911 and Articles 11/A, B, and C of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442.

Covering other actions evaluated to be carried out within the scope of the calls of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization by using October 9 as a pretext; all types of actions intended to be held in open areas (gathering, marching, press statements, hunger strikes, sit-ins, rallies, opening stands, setting up tents, distributing leaflets/brochures, hanging posters/banners, etc.), the entry/transit/exit of individuals and vehicles evaluated to be coming from other provinces to participate in these actions or using our province's borders to pass to other provinces, and for our outer districts, the exit and/or entry to our city center of individuals and vehicles evaluated to be participating in this action, have been banned for 5 days from 00:01 on October 9, 2024, to 23:59 on October 13, 2024."
