Grandfather stabbed by his grandson loses his life
In the İnegöl district of Bursa, a grandfather who was critically injured after being stabbed by his grandson has lost his life despite all medical interventions.
The incident occurred yesterday at around 21:00 on 2nd Mutlu Street in the Hamidiye neighborhood. İbrahim İ. (18) went to visit his grandfather, Kemal Kızılarslan (73). According to allegations, the grandson asked his grandfather for money.
The grandfather refused to give him money. The argument suddenly turned into a fight. The enraged grandson grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed his grandfather multiple times, leaving him critically injured. While the wounded grandfather managed to struggle his way out of the house, the grandson locked himself inside the apartment. The critically injured grandfather was taken to İnegöl State Hospital by an ambulance dispatched to the scene.
The angry grandson, who had locked himself in the apartment, also injured himself with the knife he was holding. Police teams initiated efforts to persuade the young man who had locked himself in. The suspect surrendered after 1 hour of intense persuasion. The apprehended individual was also taken to the hospital by ambulance and placed under treatment.
It was learned that the suspect, who was referred to the courthouse after his interrogation, said in his statement, "I argued with my grandfather. I got angry at that moment. I did it in a moment of rage. I regret it." The suspect was arrested by the court to which he was referred and sent to prison.

It was learned that Kemal Kızılarslan, who was under treatment in the intensive care unit, lost his life despite the interventions made.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
