Yılmaz K., who abused his own dog in Taşdelen Street, Şirintepe Neighborhood, Tepebaşı District, was recorded by a citizen with a mobile phone camera. Following the emergence of the footage, police teams launched an investigation and detained the individual named Yılmaz K. After his procedures at the police station, he was referred to the courthouse and released by the court.

After being released, Yılmaz K. came to the street where his house is located and hurled threats and insults at the people who had recorded him. Yılmaz K., who threatened to kill the women who filmed him, was detained again. Having completed his procedures at the police station, he was referred to the court again, where he was arrested this time and sent to prison.

Yılmaz K., who spent approximately 12 days in prison, was released today. After his release, Yılmaz K. came to his home and climbed onto the roof of the building where he lived in order to get back his dog, which had been rehomed by court order. Upon the notification of citizens in the vicinity, police, ambulance, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene.

Stating that he would jump if his dog was not given to him, different methods were tried by police teams to persuade Yılmaz K. Yılmaz K., who insistently demanded to see his dog, was shown another dog that resembled the one that had been rehomed. Resisting by saying it was not his own dog, Yılmaz K. was persuaded after about 2 hours of effort by police negotiators. The individual was taken into custody by police teams.
