The Ankara Governor's Office has warned city residents about extreme heat.

The Governor's Office issued a warning to be cautious so that citizens are not negatively affected by air temperatures, which are forecast to rise up to 34 degrees between June 24 and 29.

The following statements were included in the post made on the Governor's Office's social media account:

"According to the latest data received from the General Directorate of Meteorology's Analysis and Forecasting Center, air temperatures, which are currently hovering around seasonal norms across our country, are expected to increase starting Tuesday, June 24, and rise 6 to 9 degrees above seasonal norms across the country, especially in the western parts. In the province of Ankara, the highest air temperatures expected between June 24 and 29 are forecast to rise up to 34 degrees. Due to the air temperatures that will hover above seasonal norms, our citizens, especially those with chronic illnesses, the elderly, and children, must be careful and take precautions not to be in open areas between 11:00 and 16:00, which are the hottest hours of the day."
