The Turkish State Meteorological Service has warned citizens that wind speeds could exceed 75 kilometers per hour along the coasts of the Marmara and North Aegean regions. A heavy rain warning has also been issued for 2 provinces. Here is the weather forecast from across the country...
The Turkish State Meteorological Service has announced that wind intensity will increase today along the coasts of the Marmara and North Aegean regions due to a northeasterly wind (poyraz) coming from the Balkans. A warning has been issued that wind gusts could reach 70 to 75 kilometers per hour, potentially occurring as short-term storms in some areas. Authorities emphasized the need to be cautious and take precautions against adverse weather conditions.
LOCALIZED HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED IN TWO PROVINCES
According to forecasts, partly to very cloudy weather will prevail in the northeastern parts of the country. Localized heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in the inland areas of Trabzon and Rize. In other regions, the weather is expected to be mostly clear and sunny.
TEMPERATURES TO REMAIN HIGH IN SOUTHERN AND INLAND AREAS
Air temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal norms in the southern and inland regions, while remaining around seasonal norms in other areas. Experts advise caution in agricultural and maritime activities in regions where storms will be effective in addition to high temperatures.
