Horrific accident in Bursa: Two cars collided, one flew into a creek! Many injured...
One of the vehicles involved in a collision in Bursa flew into a creek, leading to a desperate rescue effort in an incident where 8 people were injured. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulances dispatched to the scene.
The accident occurred around 08:00 in the morning at the Serme and Karahıdır Connection Bridge in the Gürsu district. According to the information obtained, a Tofaş brand car and another vehicle collided for reasons yet to be determined.
Following the accident, one of the cars flew into an irrigation canal, and a desperate rescue effort took place at the scene. Upon the notification of nearby citizens who heard the noise, numerous Gendarmerie, medical, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. While Gendarmerie teams arriving at the scene took security measures in the region, the injured individuals in the irrigation canal were pulled out one by one.
Eren B. (21), Yağmur B. (11), Şenay B. (44), Ali T. (19), Mehmet N. (19), and 3 other people whose names could not be learned were taken to nearby hospitals after initial interventions at the scene. It was learned that 5 of the injured are in life-threatening condition.
On the other hand, 5 people lost their lives and 13 people were injured in 3 traffic accidents that occurred in Bursa in the last two days.
The Gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the accident.
