Investigation launched following reports of chemical odor
An investigation has been launched in the Arifiye district of Sakarya following reports of a chemical odor.
In a written statement issued by the Governor's Office, it was noted that numerous reports of a strong chemical odor were received by the 112 Emergency Call Center in the vicinity of the Mollaköy neighborhood during the evening hours.
The statement indicated that AFAD Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) teams, consisting of 6 expert personnel and 2 vehicles, along with gendarmerie units, were immediately dispatched to the scene to conduct a detailed investigation, and included the following remarks:

"Samples have been collected by our relevant units, and an investigation has been initiated by our Environment and Urbanization teams at a factory operating in the area in question.

The work carried out has determined that the odor in the area does not pose a problem that would affect human health. Necessary investigations by our teams are ongoing. Respectfully announced to the public."
