Man kills person who harassed his daughter with a shotgun in the middle of the street
In Adana, a father killed a person with a shotgun, alleging that the individual had harassed his daughter.
The incident took place in the Sarıçam neighborhood of the Yüreğir district. Mehmet A. began arguing with Arda Demir in front of his home in the Sarıçam neighborhood, alleging that Demir had harassed his daughter.
When the argument escalated into a fight, Mehmet A. retrieved a shotgun from his home and fired at Demir. Upon notification by bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Demir, who was seriously injured, could not be saved despite all medical interventions at the hospital where he was taken following initial treatment by paramedics at the scene. After the incident, Mehmet A. fled the scene but later surrendered to the police with the weapon used in the murder.
Demir's body was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
