Natural gas main line punctured in Kocaeli! Factory gas supply cut off

According to the information obtained, an excavator working during the construction of an annex building belonging to Hayat Kimya punctured the natural gas main pipe. Upon the report made to the 112 Emergency Call Center, fire department, AFAD, İZGAZ, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. İZGAZ teams initiated work in the area for the punctured natural gas main pipe. Security measures were also taken at the scene. Following the work of the İZGAZ teams, AFAD teams also conducted inspections in the area.

Following the incident, Hayat Kimya's natural gas supply was cut off. It was learned that there was no interruption in the gas supply for citizens living in the surrounding area.

AN EXPLOSION HAD OCCURRED

On the other hand, in December of last year, a hole was formed in a natural gas line pipe passing through the area during excavation work by construction machinery at a construction site in Darıca, which resulted in the gas supply to 13 neighborhoods being cut off. Following that incident, reports of leaks and malfunctions were made from many points in the district, and an explosion occurred on the first floor of a 4-story building approximately 4 hours after the pipe was punctured.
