Poisoned after entering a septic tank for cleaning

In an incident that occurred at a dairy farm in the Çerikli town of Kırıkkale's Delice district, 2 people were poisoned by methane gas.

According to the information obtained, the dairy owner K.Ç. (29) and M.A. (22) entered the septic tank for the purpose of cleaning it.

The individuals, who remained in the septic tank for a long time, became ill from the gas and lost consciousness. Both individuals were removed from the septic tank with the help of municipal personnel.

Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health teams arrived at the scene and transported the 2 individuals, whose conditions were critical, to the Yüksek İhtisas Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

It was learned that the individuals, who were taken to intensive care after their initial interventions in the emergency room, are in life-threatening condition.

It was reported that an investigation into the incident has been initiated by the authorities.
