Scandal at Malazgirt celebrations: Police officers poisoned by raw meat in rations
Police officers assigned to the Malazgirt Victory celebrations in the Ahlat district of Bitlis suffered food poisoning due to raw meat found in the rations distributed to them.
Police officers serving in the Ahlat district of Bitlis for the 954th anniversary celebrations of the Battle of Malazgirt were poisoned due to raw meat in the distributed rations. A large number of police officers suffering from food poisoning were taken to the hospital.
OFFICERS ASSIGNED FROM NEIGHBORING PROVINCES ALSO AFFECTED
It was stated that the poisoned officers included personnel sent to Ahlat from neighboring provinces. It was learned that the health condition of the officers under treatment is improving.
SHARP REACTION FROM POLICE
Following the incident, the Turkish Police Solidarity Platform issued a statement on social media calling on the authorities to take action. The statement said, "Whoever is responsible for this matter must be held accountable immediately." Colleagues also shared get-well messages for the poisoned officers.
