Scandal in Kuşadası: Doctor illegally adopts baby from woman who gave birth

In the Kuşadası district of Aydın, a pediatrician accused of illegally adopting a baby from a woman who gave birth at the hospital has been detained. The incident began when 57-year-old pediatrician Ş.D.E., who works at Kuşadası State Hospital, sought to take the baby of a woman named Ö.K., who had given birth at the hospital on July 21.

TOOK THE BABY HOME, BRUISES WERE NOTICED

It is alleged that Ş.D.E. took the baby home after the birth. However, it was stated that on July 30, bruises appeared on the baby's body after the infant fell at home. The doctor sent the baby to the hospital through an acquaintance to avoid suspicion from colleagues. Subsequently, the doctor performed an examination to check the baby's health status.

BRUISES MADE THE SITUATION SUSPICIOUS

During the examination, a nurse who noticed the bruises on the baby's body reported the situation to the chief physician's office. Due to the baby's serious health condition, the infant was transferred to Aydın Adnan Menderes University Hospital with the approval of Dr. Ş.D.E. Because the baby's injuries were found to be suspicious, the Kuşadası District Police Department launched an investigation.

Ş.D.E. WAS DETAINED

Pediatrician Ş.D.E. was detained on charges of "illegal adoption" and "negligent injury." It was learned that in their statement, Ş.D.E. claimed they did not have children of their own and had taken the baby with the mother's consent, denying any purchase transaction.
