School bus accident in Manisa
Nine students were slightly injured in a traffic accident involving a school bus and a panel van in the Selendi district of Manisa. Selendi District Governor Halil İbrahim Okumuş visited the students at the hospital.
The accident occurred in the Omurlar neighborhood of Manisa's Selendi district. According to the information obtained, the school bus with license plate 45 J 9679, driven by H.E. and carrying middle school students from the Çortak Ömer Nimet Kahraman Primary School, collided with a panel van with license plate 45 DP 961, driven by A.B., which was coming from the opposite direction.
Upon notification, 112 Emergency Service teams and gendarmerie units were dispatched to the scene. Eight of the 9 students who were slightly injured in the accident were referred to Salihli State Hospital. The students were discharged after receiving treatment there.
Meanwhile, Selendi District Governor Halil İbrahim Okumuş, upon receiving news of the accident, went to the hospital to visit the students. Receiving information from the hospital's chief physician regarding the students' conditions, Okumuş stated that the students were in good health.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
