She had attempted suicide, lost her battle for life
A young woman who attempted suicide by hanging herself in Samsun has lost her 2-day battle in intensive care.
The incident occurred on Thursday, March 21, in the Yaşar Doğu neighborhood of the Kavak district in Samsun. According to the information obtained, 22-year-old Gamze İ. attempted suicide at her home by hanging herself from a natural gas pipe with a scarf.
Her father, who arrived home a short while later, rescued the young woman from where she was found.
Upon notification of the situation to 112, medical teams arrived at the scene and transported the young woman to Kavak State Hospital.
Following initial intervention there, she was transferred to Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) Faculty of Medicine Hospital. The young woman, who remained in intensive care for 2 days, passed away.
