Mehmet Bucak, a 56-year-old father of three known as '1 Million Mehmet' who had thousands of followers, has passed away after suffering a heart attack. It was learned that Bucak's funeral will be held tomorrow.
In a statement regarding Bucak's passing, it was said, "We have lost our dear brother Mehmet, the apple of our eye. May God grant him a place in heaven. Our condolences to all."
Bucak became a phenomenon and gained thousands of followers after a charitable shop owner, bothered by people mocking Mehmet Bucak—who would wander the streets five years ago asking, 'Do you have 1 million?' and became known as '1 Million Mehmet'—opened a YouTube account for him.
