Some roads in Istanbul will be closed to traffic on Sunday

The Istanbul Governor's Office has announced that some roads will be closed to traffic due to the Istanbul Marathon to be held on Sunday, November 2, and that alternative routes can be used. Closures will begin at 03:00 and 06:00 and will continue until the end of the event.

Roads to be closed to traffic as of 03:00 include the South Zincirlikuyu junction, the North Uzunçayır ramp closure point, and the North Ünalan – Ataşehir – Sabiha Gökçen junctions. In addition, the D-100 south entry in front of the Gayrettepe Melas Hotel, the Barbaros Boulevard Zincirlikuyu D-100 south entry, and the D-100 north entry over the Kısıklı Street Altunizade Bridge are also among the roads that will be closed.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED AT 06:00

As of 06:00, Rauf Orbay Street, Coastal Kennedy Street (between Unkapanı and Bakırköy) and their connections, and Ankara, Alayköşkü, Alemdar, and Divanyolu streets will be closed to traffic. Furthermore, Ragıp Gümüşpala Street, Reşadiye Street (Sirkeci coast), Galata Bridge, and the Eurasia Tunnel will also be closed from this time onwards.

Alternative routes include the direction of Büyükdere – Balmumcu – Levent – Sarıyer, the Çamlıca connection road, and the direction of Ünalan – Ataşehir – Çamlıca. Additionally, roads such as Atatürk Boulevard, Balat Coastal Road, Unkapanı Bridge, Fevzipaşa Street, and Vatan Street can also be used as alternatives.
