Sorgun Mayor Mustafa Erkut Ekinci has denied allegations that he was the target of a knife attack.
Allegations emerged claiming that Sorgun Mayor Mustafa Erkut Ekinci had been the victim of a knife attack. However, Ekinci stated in a written statement that these claims do not reflect the truth.
In his statement, Mayor Ekinci said, "I have been receiving treatment for vertigo for some time. Last night, due to my condition, I experienced a momentary loss of balance and fell onto a barbecue, resulting in a minor injury. This situation has been misrepresented in some media outlets. My health condition is not serious; I received outpatient treatment at the hospital and was discharged the same day. I am currently in good health and am back at work," he stated.
Ekinci requested that citizens not give credence to baseless reports and to take official statements into account. Respectfully announced to the public.
