Sulfuric acid identified as source of foul odor
Following reports of a foul odor by citizens in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri, investigations in a vacant lot led to the discovery of sulfuric acid.
According to the information obtained, citizens notified the police after a foul odor began emanating from a vacant lot located on Sivas Boulevard in the Cırgalan neighborhood of the district.
In addition to police teams, AFAD teams were also dispatched to the scene.
Investigations conducted by the teams in the field revealed a liquid identified as sulfuric acid.
The sulfuric acid found was removed from the site by the teams and handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization.
