Survived the traffic accident, lost to his heart
In the Tarsus district of Mersin, a 62-year-old man lost his life after suffering a heart attack following a traffic accident.
The incident occurred on Devlet Bahçeli Boulevard in the Akşemsettin neighborhood.
According to the information received, the car with license plate 33 AFH 942, driven by Recep Erbay (62), climbed onto the sidewalk and hit an electric pole after the driver lost control of the steering wheel while in motion.
After the accident, Erbay got out of his vehicle and went to a nearby coffeehouse, where he tried to overcome the shock of the incident by drinking water.
However, Erbay fell ill a short while later and was taken to the hospital by an ambulance that arrived at the scene. It was determined that Erbay had suffered a heart attack, and he could not be saved despite all interventions. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
