Suspicious death turns out to be murder

The incident occurred around 22:00 on the 5th floor of a 6-story apartment building on Umut Street in the Mahmudiye neighborhood. When Aysel A. (47) arrived home, she found her husband, Cihangir A. (51), lying motionless on the floor in the living room.

Receiving no response, the woman notified 112 and the police. Police and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene. The medical teams determined that the man had died.

Police teams, who determined that the deceased man had injuries on his head and face due to blunt force trauma, took his son, Ufuk A. (27), who was in the house at the time, to the police station for questioning.

Ufuk A., who confessed during questioning that he had fought with his father, was taken into custody. The man's body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death following the prosecutor's examination.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
