Swimming banned in another province

According to the latest assessments by meteorological experts, there is a high risk of large waves and rip currents along the coastal areas throughout Ordu today. In line with this, the Ordu Governor's Office has issued a new ban to ensure the safety of citizens.

In a written statement issued by the Governor's Office, it was stated that the restriction was imposed to prevent the dangers posed by the forecasted bad weather and wave conditions, and to prevent potential drowning incidents in the water. Within the scope of the measures taken, swimming at all beaches and coasts across the province has been banned as of 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, until further notice.

The statement said, "In accordance with these meteorological data, and to prevent potential drowning incidents, it has been decided by the Ordu Governor's Office Commission for the Prevention of Drowning Incidents that swimming is prohibited across our province after 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15. It is of great importance that our citizens and officials show the necessary sensitivity to avoid any tragic incidents."

Authorities urged citizens to strictly comply with safety warnings and the guidance of officials. Residents of Ordu and visitors spending their holidays in the region were warned to fully comply with the measures taken to protect their lives.
