Teacher Zeynep and the teacher she lived with under a 'religious marriage,' Şeyhmus, arrested

Four suspects detained in the investigation into the shooting death of teacher Osman K. in Diyarbakır have been arrested.

The investigation launched by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the death of teacher Osman K., who lost his life as a result of gunfire at the home of his colleague Zeynep A. on Yılmaz Güney Street in the Medya neighborhood of the central Kayapınar district on July 9, is ongoing.

Şeyhmus Y., with whom Zeynep A. lived under a 'religious marriage' and who surrendered to police arriving at the house after the incident, was also detained.

Within the scope of the investigation, Şeyhmus Y.'s brother, Yakup Y., and his nephew, Mustafa Y., were also apprehended.

The 4 suspects, who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station, were arrested by the on-duty criminal judgeship of peace on charges of "complicity in intentional homicide."

On July 9, in the central Kayapınar district of Diyarbakır, teacher Osman K. (41) lost his life as a result of gunfire while at the home of his colleague Zeynep A. (39), and Zeynep A., who called the 112 Emergency Call Center to report the incident, had surrendered to the police.

It was learned that the detained Zeynep A. and Osman K. worked at the same school.
