In the Midyat district of Mardin, a woman and a child who narrowly escaped a first accident were seriously injured seconds later after being struck by a pickup truck in a second accident.

According to the information obtained, yesterday on the Midyat-Mardin road, G.S. (36) narrowly avoided being hit by a car while trying to cross the road with 2 children accompanying her.

Following this incident, G.S. was seriously injured along with E.A. (2), who was with her, after being struck by a pickup truck while attempting to cross the road.

While the moment of the accident was recorded by a security camera, the injured were transported to Midyat State Hospital after initial intervention by medical teams dispatched to the scene.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
