Traffic accident in Edirne: Casualties and injuries reported
One person lost their life and two others were injured in a chain-reaction traffic accident on the Edirne-Lalapaşa highway. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
A serious traffic accident involving two semi-trucks and three cars occurred in Edirne. As a result of the collision, which took place for reasons yet to be determined, the vehicles sustained heavy damage and the accident site turned into a scene of wreckage.
Fire, medical, and gendarmerie teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. The teams made an intensive effort to rescue the injured trapped in the vehicles. According to initial reports, one person lost their life in the accident, while two injured individuals were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance.
A detailed investigation into the cause of the accident has been launched, and authorities are continuing their efforts to clarify the incident.
