Two siblings, aged 6 and 8, lose their lives

According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 72 AZ 756, driven by Vedat Direk, crashed into a semi-truck with license plate 72 ABM 902 parked on the emergency lane, then skidded for approximately 500 meters before rolling into a ditch.

In the accident, the car driver Vedat Direk was seriously injured, while his children, 6-year-old Adar Direk and 8-year-old Zana Direk, lost their lives. Citizens who witnessed the accident reported the situation to 112. Numerous medical teams, firefighters, AFAD, and police units were dispatched to the scene. Upon arriving at the scene and seeing the state of the vehicle, the teams engaged in a race against time.

One of the severed limbs of the young children who lost their lives due to the impact of the crash was found after a long search by the teams and citizens.

The seriously injured driver, Vedat Direk, was taken to the hospital by medical teams for treatment. The bodies of the two young siblings who lost their lives in the same vehicle were taken to the Batman Training and Research Hospital Morgue, and it was learned that the father, Direk, remains in critical condition.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
