Unauthorized stall dispute turns violent: 2 municipal police officers injured
In Çankırı, two municipal police officers were stabbed and injured during an argument with a group attempting to set up an unauthorized stall.
The incident occurred on Cumhuriyet Mektep Street in the Mimar Sinan neighborhood. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between Çankırı Municipality municipal police teams and a group of 5 people, including 1 woman, who wanted to set up an unauthorized stall on the street.
In the incident, which turned into a fight in a short time, municipal police officers I.B. and B.İ. were injured by knife wounds.
Upon the notification of those around, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
The injured municipal police officers were taken to the hospital after the initial intervention by health teams. The suspects were caught and taken into custody by the police in a short time. It was learned that the injured do not have life-threatening injuries.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
