A vehicle carrying renowned historian Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı was involved in a traffic accident in the Burhaniye district of Balıkesir. Ortaylı intervened to calm the tension that arose following the incident.
In a traffic accident that occurred yesterday afternoon in the Burhaniye district of Balıkesir, the vehicle in which Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı was traveling sustained minor damage. There were no injuries or fatalities in the accident.
Following the collision, tensions rose between Ortaylı's driver and the driver of the other vehicle.
To de-escalate the situation, İlber Ortaylı stepped out of his vehicle, intervened, and calmed the parties involved.
